At EclipseSpecs, our absolute priority is your safety and confidence when viewing solar phenomena. We are initiating a voluntary recall of a specific batch of solar eclipse glasses sold on Amazon Europe between April 2026 and June 2026 under ASIN B0GKWLVR3F
.
What is the issue?
Due to an unauthorized printing layout error by our packaging supplier during production, the printed information on the white paper backing of some glasses is incorrect

Incorrect Manufacturer: The backing incorrectly lists American Paper Optics, LLC (APO) as the manufacturer
. American Paper Optics did not manufacture this batch. The authorized manufacturer for our European inventory is ECLIPSESPECS CO., LIMITED
.
Incorrect CE Certificate Number: The backing lists an outdated, invalid CE certificate reference number (CE-PI-20201211-01-01-9B)
. The correct, fully valid CE certificate number for this product is CE-PC-260205-121-01-9A, issued by the EU Notified Body CCQS Certification Services Limited in Dublin, Ireland (Notified Body No. 2834)

Is the product safe to use?
Yes, the optical filter material in these glasses meets the necessary standard for filters for direct observation of the sun
. However, because the printed labeling on the backplate incorrectly identifies the manufacturing origin and displays an outdated certificate number
, we are voluntarily recalling this batch out of an abundance of caution and a strict commitment to labeling accuracy.
If your glasses display the incorrect manufacturer details and outdated CE number on the backing
, please stop using them immediately and follow the instructions below to receive a 100% Full Refund or a Free Replacement Pack with the corrected labeling.
